Mary Ann Kirik Applebee, age 76, of Union City, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 peacefully at home with her family and best friend, Judy Rupert (Jerry), by her side. She was born in Union City on December 19, 1947, daughter of the late John and Betty Kirik.

Mary Ann was a homemaker to her family and had her door open for any of her friends. She enjoyed helping people throughout her life and was a caregiver to anyone she loved in need. Mary had a heart of gold. She was a member of the Arbuckle CMA Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandsons, Jack Cochran, Jr. and Adam Fetzner. Mary Ann is survived by her husband, Gary Applebee, Sr.; her daughter, Vicki Cochran (Jack); three sons, Gary Applebee Jr. (Denise), Steven Applebee and Robert Applebee (Crystal); one brother, John Kirik, Jr. (Diane); 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

At her family's request, private arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd.
