Mary Jackson Obituary

Mary Marguerite Harrington Jackson, 90, of Owensboro, passed away, Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Beaver Dam Nursing and Rehabilitation. Center. She was born on September 2, 1934 in Daviess County to the late James and Mary Harrington. Marguerite was a member of Sorgho Baptist Church, where she was the organist and was involved in the Women's Missionary Society. She enjoyed cooking cleaning, and keeping the boys in line, but her greatest pleasure in life was the time spent with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, R.C. Jackson; and three brothers, James L. Harrington, Jr., Bill Harrington, and Larry Harrington.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law; Steve and Marla Jackson, Dan and Lauren Jackson, and Shane and Jill Jackson; ten grandchildren, Carrie, Stephanie, Matt, Mary Rachel, Kyle, Chelsea, Warren, Eli, Makenzie and Cameron; several great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Sullivan and Jeanie Underhill; brother, Bob Harrington; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Private family burial will be in Sorgho Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
