In addition, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Patrick "Pat"; her parents, Evelyn and Francis McGarry; her brothers: Billy, Bobby, and Tommy; her sister Judy; her sister-in-law Linda; and her brothers-in-law: John, Bob, and James.
Mary Frances graduated from Presentation Academy in 1959 and was named alumnae of the year in 1986 due to her service to the school. She was an active member of Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church. She and her husband Pat raised their children with the St. John Vianney family where those friendships continue.
Mary Frances enjoyed tracing family history with her husband Pat. They spent many hours together preserving family stories and old photographs. She would excitingly tell how George M. Cohan had visited her Grandma McGarry or how Pat's ancestors had come to America on the Mayflower.
Her greatest gift was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She spent uncountable hours playing games, coloring or doing art projects with them.
Mary Frances also was generous to her community with her time, working as an art teacher and coach of numerous sports at St. John Vianney. She was also known for her artworks. She created many treasured paintings and hand-painted furniture that adorn the houses of family and friends but her most remembered works were handmade angel Christmas cards, which she created for the past 30 years. She will be greatly missed by the many people whose lives she touched.
Her celebration of life Mass will be held on Monday December 29th, 2025 at 10:00 am at Mary Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4005 Dixie Hwy with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday December 28th, 2025 from 2-8 PM at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7536 Southside Dr.
