MATTHEW ALLEN LYMBURNER
Matthew A. Lymburner, 84, of Owendale, died Saturday, April 5, 2025 in Scheurer Hospital, Pigeon. He was born March 1, 1941 in Midland, the oldest of six children born to Robert and Fern (Chambers) Lymburner.
Matthew went to live with his father in Coleman when he was twenty-one years old. During his time there, he worked construction and attended night classes to earn his G.E.D. Matthew faithfully attended the Assembly of God Church and gladly helped his family, friends, and neighbors. He enjoyed tending to the vegetables in his garden. Matthew was fond of horses, even though he never had one of his own. He was always “a cowboy without a horse”. Matthew had a deep love for his Lord which was closely followed by the love he had for his entire family.
Matthew is survived by his children: Robert (Bridget) Schenk of Kentucky; Ellen (Bob) Carter of Owendale; grandchildren: Kevin Bucholtz, Derek Bucholtz, Kendra (Jeff) Ray II, Rachel Mohamed, Gabriel Mohamed; great grandchildren: Zoey Wright, Penelope Bucholtz, Drake Bucholtz, Benjamin Johnson, Dajai Johnson, Jeffery Scott Ray III; siblings: Mark Lymburner, John (Jeanette) Lymburner, Luke (Liz) Lymburner, Frances Jane Vaundrane, Martha Pritchard; twenty-five nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sisters-in-law: Oralu Lymburner, Liz Lymburner; brothers-in-law: Bill Vaundrane, Richard Pritchard.
Funeral service held 12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2025 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Pastor Garth Hazzard of the Potter’s House Christian Church of Cass City officiating. Memorials may be made to the Potter’s House Christian Church of Cass City.
Visitation: 10 am to 12 pm Thursday, April 10, 2025 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City
