Melba was born on Saturday, February 10, 1940, in Higuey, Dominican Republic. Her early years were spent in the vibrant culture of her birthplace, which instilled in her a deep love for family, community, and tradition.
A talented and meticulous seamstress by trade, Melba spent decades perfecting her skills and sharing her artistry with her clients and loved ones. It was certainly something that she was proud of. Her eye for detail and dedication to her work was evident in every stitch and seam she created, leaving a lasting legacy in the countless garments she tailored and mended.
Melba's home was a sanctuary of love and laughter. Her spirit and memory will be cherished by those who knew and loved her. Melba is survived by her family members and a wide circle of friends who became like family to her. Funeral services to honor and celebrate the life of Melba Luisa Rodriguez have been thoughtfully arranged by Lakeside Funeral Home & Cremation Care.
