It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melissa Ann Teeters, who left us on December 31, 2024, at a Springfield, Missouri hospital at the age of 52. Melissa was born on June 20, 1972, in Mineola, Texas, to William Bruce Hill and Mary Ruth (Reid) Hill. A proud lifelong resident of Mineola, Melissa was deeply connected to her community and cherished her roots in the town she loved.
A graduate of Mineola High School in 1991, Melissa went on to have a remarkable career as a medical assistant for Kidney Care in Tyler, where she devoted over 20 years of her life to helping others. She was known for her caring nature, her infectious smile, and her unwavering dedication to her patients, leaving a lasting impression on everyone she worked with.
Melissa was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She and her husband, Arlan Teeters, shared 33 years of marriage and was a good daughter to her father and mother William and Mary Hill. She was a proud mother to her son, Caleb, and daughter, Emmalee, and she had a special, loving bond with her 2-year-old grandson, Oakland, who brought her immense joy. Her family was the center of her world, and she gave them all her love and devotion.
Melissa was also a cherished member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she found solace and strength. In addition to her family, she leaves behind her loving sister, Tammie Radcliff and her husband Chris Albritton; her sister, Sherry McKenzie; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who will miss her dearly.
A selfless individual, Melissa chose to donate some of her body to help others in critical need. Her generosity and compassion will continue to impact lives, and her legacy of love and care will never be forgotten. Melissa's smile, laughter, and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She touched so many lives, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and colleagues.
Melissa is survived by her parents, William and Mary Hill; her husband, Arlan Teeters; her children, Caleb and Emmalee Teeters; her grandson, Oakland Teeters; her sisters, Tammie Radcliff and Sherry McKenzie; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
