Michael Clark Obituary

Michael E. Clark, Sr.
Age 70, of Vidalia, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Merit Health Hospital in Natchez, Mississippi. He was born on February 23, 1954 in Ferriday, Louisiana.
He has always had a deep passion for helping people, which began with volunteering as a firefighter, before transitioning to a career with the Concordia Parish Sheriff's Office, where he served as a Deputy Sheriff, and was later promoted to Lieutenant. He also worked as Director of 911 services until his retirement. He also worked at Riverland Hospital as Head of Security during a hiatus from law enforcement. His dedication and passion for the community and helping others were evident. No matter how big or small the problem was, Mike would do his absolute best to figure it out. He was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, dog dad, and friend.
Mike was preceded in death by his beloved son, Little Mike Clark Jr., his sweet beloved baby grandson Evander Britt, both of his parents; Dewey, and Maudie Clark, and his older brothers; Thomas, and Barry Clark.
He is survived by his loved and most cherished daughter, McKenzie Jenkins, and her husband Joshua Jenkins, his sweet grandchildren Haven and River Jenkins, and his three sisters; Linda Young, Dawn McManus, and Sharon Hesson.
Known for his outgoing personality, Mike never met a stranger. Whether he walked into a restaurant or a local gathering, it was not long before he was greeting friends, or striking up conversations across the room. His presence brought warmth and familiarity wherever he went, leaving lasting impressions throughout his life. Mike was a fixer of all things, mechanical and personal. If he thought he could help out in any way, that's exactly what he would do. Mike developed a determined spirit early on, a special trait that defined much of his personal and professional success. His resilience, dedication, and caring heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Services will be determined at a later time, as he has chosen to be cremated.
