In Loving Memory of Michael Del Hierro.
Mike Del Hierro left this world peacefully on August 21, 2024, with his loving and devoted wife by his side. Through Mike’s final journey, Colleen was his tireless advocate, tending to his every need until his last breath.
Mike was quiet, kind, generous, loving, and at times a funny man. He was never one to sit for long periods of time and just talk; he preferred to observe from a distance his big, beautiful, loud, family. We can almost hear him reflecting, “Wow! This is the beautiful legacy I will leave behind.”
Mike is survived by Colleen, his loving wife of 54 years, his six children – Lisa Taggart (Larry), Nick Del Hierro (Melanie), Chris Del Hierro (Valerie), Greg Del Hierro, Andrea Bright, and Anthony Del Hierro – sixteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Raul and Alicia Del Hierro, brother Raul Del Hierro, sister Becky O’Brien (Del Hierro) and grandson Jacob Del Hierro.
As we say our goodbyes, we find comfort in knowing that Mike’s presence had a positive impact on so many lives. He leaves with us many cherished memories and his absence will be deeply felt. Rest easy, Mike/Dad, your job here on earth as the loving patriarch is complete and you deserve eternal rest and peace.
The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers/plants or trees, that donations be made (in check form) to: Knights of Columbus #3268 and mailed to 7405 Race St. Denver, CO 80229. (Mike was an active member of the Knights of Columbus #3268)
