Michael Grider Obituary

Michael J. Grider, 58, of Hopedale, peacefully passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Carolyn E. (Ledoux) Grider since 1989.
Born in Beaufort, South Carolina on December 24, 1965, he was the son of Joan L. (Vieira) Grider of Franklin and the late Jack P. Grider.
Michael was a resident of Hopedale for the past 26 years. His dad was in the Marine Corp so he travelled a lot as a child and ultimately graduated from Bellingham High School.
He had worked in sales at The Brickle Group in Woonsocket, Rhode Island for several years and also formerly at Hypertronics Corp in Hudson for many years.
Michael was an avid New England Patriots fan and coached many youth sports teams when his children were young. He also enjoyed golf, video games, movies and spending time with family and friends.
Being born on December 24th, he loved Christmas, and was known as "Mr. Christmas" to his family and friends.
Besides his wife and mother, he is survived by his son Joseph Grider of Somerville and his daughter Krysta Grider of Cumberland.
He is also survived by his nephew Christopher Martin, sister-in-law Kathleen Ledoux and her husband Gregg Cribb of Hopedale and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He is predeceased by his sister and brother in law Maureen and Matthew Martin. And many beloved family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway on Tuesday, October 1 at 10 a.m. followed by his funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Brendan Church, 382 Hartford Ave. in Bellingham. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
