Robert Glenn Bergeron, age 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 6, 2025. He was born on October 26, 1948, to Bertha Mae Matte and Joseph Hewman Bergeron.


Glenn had a distinguished career, working in the oilfield, at Loan Co., in construction, and as a hunting guide. He also served as Vice President of Lakeside Bank and held his real estate license and notary public certification. Glenn was a founding member of the Lake Charles Chapter of Delta Waterfowl and was an avid hunter, fisherman, and crabber, with a strong appreciation for the marshlands and national wildlife reserves. Glenn also served proudly in the Army from 1969 to 1971.


He is survived by his siblings, Terry Bergeron (Cynthia), Tony James Bergeron, and Lisa Demerest (Ricky), along with his nieces and nephews: Brett Bergeron (Violet), Jay Bergeron (Elizabeth), Deon Bergeron (Jami), Ryan Demerest (Tristan), Dustin Demerest, Bryan Joseph Bergeron, William Bergeron (Brittany), Lauren Guidry (Jace); sister-in-law, Gloria Bergeron (Billy who passed).


Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Melinda Bergeron, parents, and brother Billy Bergeron.


A private celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
