Michael Anthony Resendez, known affectionately as Mike to his friends and family, was born on August 20, 1985, in Brownsville, Texas, and passed away on October 30, 2024, in
Kyle, Texas. He was a man whose life-affirming spirit was apparent to all who knew him, and his passing leaves a void in the hearts of many.
Mike was a loving father to his daughter, Angelique Mikeya Resendez, who was the center of his universe. His unwavering dedication to her was evident in every aspect of his life. He is survived by his devoted mother, Rosalinda Resendez, his father, Victor Resendez, his sisters, Valerie Resendez and Jennifer Carreon, and brother, Vincent Resendez. He is preceded in death by his brother, Victor Jose Resendez. Mike's family was a cornerstone of his life, and the love they shared was immeasurable.
Mike was well-regarded in his profession. He built a successful career as an Apprentice Journeyman Electrician with AMI, where his employer spoke highly of his dedication and skill. His work ethic was matched only by his ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
From a young age, Mike exhibited a passion for music, learning to play the guitar and drums during his teenage years. This musical talent was just one of the many facets of his adventurous spirit. In middle school, Mike played football and was known for his speed on the field. His daredevil nature and love for thrills followed him into adulthood, he participated in several bowling tournaments, spent his days at the skatepark, and even took to the skies with skydiving.
Mike's interests were as varied as they were intense. He was an accomplished bowler, a sharp pool player, and an artist. His love for travel took him to many places, and he relished in the experiences each new destination offered. The purchase of his Red Dodge Challenger was a proud moment for Mike, as it represented the embodiment of his motto, "All or Nothing."
Those who knew Mike would describe him as adventurous, generous, and funny. His sense of humor and inclination to share generously with others made him a cherished presence in any gathering. His adventurous soul was matched by his big heart, and his generosity extended beyond his immediate circle to all those he encountered.
