Michael Stamey Obituary

Mr. Michael Dennis Stamey, age 70, has entered into rest. In honoring Mr. Stamey’s wishes, the family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Friends are welcome to pay their respects at the home of his son, Dennis & Crystal Stamey of Wallace, SC.

Mr. Stamey was born January 11, 1954 in Lansing, Michigan a son of the late Willard Wylie and Christine Bunilla Raby Stamey. He was a long-distance truck driver for many years and also a talented mechanic who could repair any type of vehicle. An avid collector of antiques, Michael had an extensive collection of collector bottles and sports memorabilia.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Stamey was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Stamey, and numerous siblings.

Survivors include his son, Dennis (Crystal) Stamey of Wallace, SC; daughter, Ella Stamey of Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Logan Stamey, Jordan (Hannah) Stamey, Brittany (Nico) Lagunas, Justin (Kristin) Stamey, and Alyssa Snoddy; 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Parker of Gastonia, NC, and Cathy Holland of Lowell, NC; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are being accepted on behalf of the family at MRC Funeral Home, 318 E. Main Street, Chesterfield, SC 29709.
