Randel Chartier Obituary

Randel L. Chartier, 78, of Merrill, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Howard Young Medical Center, Woodruff.

Randel was born May 17, 1947, in Merrill, son of Leroy and Irene (Woller) Chartier. Randy worked at the former Wausau Paper Mill in Brokaw. He also worked part-time at Caylor’s Corners delivering gas. In his younger years, Randy enjoyed playing cards. He also enjoyed listening to music. Randy loved talking to everyone and enjoyed the friendships he made. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family.

Randy is survived by his children, Andrew (Rebekah) Chartier of Rothschild and Rebecca (Robert) Ott of Merrill; ten grandchildren, Stephanie Delaney, Peter Chartier, Hallel Chartier, Isaiah Chartier, Shalom Chartier, Abbigail Ott, Mia Ott, Madison Ott, and Tyson Ott; six great-grandchildren, Maxwell Lambrecht, Emma Delaney, Norah Delaney, Skylah Jeanne Marie Spaude, Bren Julius Spaude, and Colter Rutzen; sister, Lou Ann Chartier of Eau Claire; and his former spouse, Jeanne Hall Brock.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Irene Chartier; grandson, Andrew Douglas Chartier II; and brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Diane Chartier.

Per Randy’s wishes, no formal service will be held.
