Northport Funeral & Cremation Service family extends our warmest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the family of Mr. Michael Tucker. Mr. Tucker passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Michael Patrick (Tucker)(Sr.), 71, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 3rd, in his home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Michael was born on May 13, 1953, to Lawrence and Elizabeth (Libby) Tucker in Tuscaloosa where he was raised and lived most of his life. He attended Tuscaloosa High School graduating in 1971. He attended the University of Alabama (UA) in 1982. A salesman throughout his adult life, he was employed by various businesses in the Tuscaloosa and Birmingham areas, and also worked with his brother, Joe, at his office products business in Decatur-Harteselle. He was an avid reader, and his other hobbies included fishing, playing chess, and collecting coins, stamps, rocks, and foreign currencies. Michael was also a musician and enjoyed playing the drums. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Elizabeth Tucker (Tuscaloosa, AL), and two brothers, Joe Tucker (Decatur, AL), and Vernon Tucker (Tuscaloosa, AL). He is survived through his two sons, Michael Patrick Tucker (jr.)(Prattville, AL), and Brandon William Tucker (Bradenton, FL), and his grandchildren, Leah Madison Tucker (Prattville, AL), Adalyn Lee Tucker (Bradenton, FL), and Landon William Tucker (Bradenton, FL). He is also survived by his sister Sondra Bowlings (Tuscaloosa, AL), and his brother, Larry Tucker (Wetumpka, AL).
Michael will be deeply missed, and the family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
