Nancy Bland Obituary

Graveside services for Mrs. Nancy Bland, 72, of Carthage will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at Antioch Cemetery with Betty Wills officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson.
Nancy was born January 12, 1952 in Kingman, Arizona to Alvan Telly and Fern Edith (Short) Bland and has made Carthage her home for the last forty years. Nancy was a devoted Christian and faithful member of Abundant Life Church in Carthage. She loved to preach the gospel and enjoyed cooking good meals for anyone and everyone she could.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Alvan and Fern Bland; and her siblings, Marvin Bland, Beverly Lancaster, Shirley Young, Stanley Bland, Sandra Heath, and Loretta Callahan.
Survivors include her siblings, Bill Bland, Sharon Francis, Lois Simonson and husband Rick, Phyllis Blankenship; and a host of nieces and nephews, that she treated like her children and left her trademark red lipstick on their forehead, other family, and friends.
