Nancy J. (Williamson) Gadziala, a beacon of love and kindness, left this world on June 13, 2024, after a brief illness, with the same grace and dignity with which she lived her life.
Born on June 9, 1954, in the heart of Utica, NY, Nancy's journey came full circle as she passed away peacefully in the same city that had been her lifelong home. She was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Mary Williamson, and sister, Sue Andrews.
Nancy's life was the embodiment of the saying, "To the world, you may be one person, but to one person, you may be the world." This inspiring quote perfectly encapsulates the impact Nancy had on those around her.
After earning a degree at Mohawk Valley Community College, Nancy went on to work for the state for many years. However, it was her passion for life and love for her family that truly defined her.
Nancy's son, Jason, and daughter, Amanda were the pride of her life, and her grandchildren, Bianca, and Olivia, and great niece and nephews, Emma, Matthew, and Zachary, added immeasurable joy to her life. Her niece, Jennifer meant a lot to her as well and they were very close over the years, enjoying any moment spent together.
Nancy enjoyed capturing life's simple pleasures through photography, with Cape Cod and Stone Barn Castle being among her favorite places to visit. Her enthusiasm for craft fairs was infectious, and she could spend hours shopping and admiring the creativity and artistry of others.
Today, as we bid farewell to Nancy J. Gadziala, let us not dwell on the sorrow of her departure but celebrate the joy of having known such an extraordinary soul. Her presence was a comforting embrace. She will be forever missed.
Close friends and relatives are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday, June 29th, at 10 am at the Church of the Sacred Heart & St. Mary, Our Lady of Czestochowa, New York Mills.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy's memory to the American Stroke Association (www.stroke.org). Envelopes will be available at the mass.
