Nancy Mae Trusty Staton, age 86 of Cleveland passed away on Saturday November 03, 2024, and is now rejoicing in Heaven with our Lord.
Nancy's life was filled with laughter, adventure, and joy. She never met a stranger. Her love and compassion endeared her to all. You cannot name just one "job" that she had as she wore so many hats: medical records clerk, cafeteria worker at White County Elementary School, manager and co-owner of Cleveland Small Engine, and caregiver for many. She loved cookbooks, shopping, square dancing, camping, family, her beloved Woody, her "kids" and above all, her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by the 33 exchange students who called her "mom" as well as a dear aunt to many, and a friend to all.
The family wishes to thank all her caregivers over the past few years by especially: Gail Fulmer, Pam Mimbs, Mackenzie Regan, and Khadijah "Dee" and Hospice of Northeast Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Truth Seekers Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church of Cleveland - P.O. Box 250, Cleveland, GA 30528.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis Turner and Dr. Phil Weaver will officiate. Interment will follow in Gateway Memory Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 5 PM until 7 PM.
