Nancy Mitchell Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Caruth-Hale Life Celebration Center on Nov. 5, 2024.
Nancy Ethel Mitchell, age 88, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2024. Born on July 31, 1936, in Bentonville, she was the daughter of Charles Moore and Lona Moore, both of whom predeceased her. Nancy was also preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert B. Mitchell, and their son, David Mitchell.
Nancy is survived by her son, Robert Mitchell; her sister, Linda Brown; her daughter-in-law, Wanda (David) Mitchell; and her grandchildren: Atasha Mitchell, Robert Mitchell, and Amy (Larnell) Bailey. She was a proud great-grandmother of 8.
Nancy had a passion for many hobbies that brought her great joy throughout her life. She was an avid sewer, enjoyed reading, and loved spending time in her garden. Crossword puzzles were another favorite pastime, and she always enjoyed the challenge they brought. Her family will forever remember her for her unwavering love, her creative spirit, and the warmth she brought into their lives.
Pallbearers are: Robert Curtis Mitchell, Larnell Bailey, Brent Carter, Victor Davis, Donell Burris, and Gregory Thompson.
A service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held on November 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Caruth-Hale Life Celebration Center, 2529 Airport Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913. Graveside services will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
In times of sorrow, Nancy's family takes comfort in the words from 1 Thessalonians 4:13: "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope."
Nancy Ethel Mitchell's love and light will forever remain in the hearts of her family. May she rest in peace.

I remember Nancy in the kitchen preparing the Bible School snacks. She was a kind, quiet woman who love children, especially her grands and great grands.
