Nelda was a native of Corinth, MS but resided in the Shoals for many years.
and was a member of Tri-Cities Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles William Dowdy and Bobby Wallace; parents, Jack and Eulalia Jackson; and siblings, Buford Jackson, Erva Jean Hight, J.W. Jackson.
Nelda is survived by her son, Charles "Larry" Dowdy (Cindy); grandson, William Thomas Dowdy (Page); 2 great-grandchildren, Madeline and Georgia Dowdy; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Daniel Thorne, David Patrick, Larry Dowdy, William Dowdy, Madeline and Georgia Dowdy.
