Nellie Owen Obituary

Nellie Lucille (Wandall) Owen, age 86 passed away on Friday afternoon, August 9, 2024 at the Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Nellie was born on December 22, 1937 in Tunkhannock, PA the daughter of the late Melvin and Martha Posten Owen.
She was married to Charles Henry Owen, Sr. and she was a dedicated housewife and homemaker for her family.
Nellie was predeceased by her husband, Charles Owen, Sr. (d. December 14, 1987); her parents; her sister and spouse, Jane (Wandall) Harry Parmelee; her brothers, Raymond and Robert Wandall; her brothers-in-law, Frances Owen and Grant Bowman; and her sons-in-law, Paul Beach and Randy Lattimer.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane Beach of Elmira, NY and May Lattimer of Sayre, PA; her sons and spouses, Lester Owen of Allentown, PA, Paul Owen of Altoona, PA, Edward and Sandy Owen of Sayre, PA, and Ray and Sylvia Owen of Downingtown, PA, and Charles Jr. and Stacey Owen of Lockwood, NY; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Jennie Marie Owen and Grace Bowman; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Nellie will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 4:00 PM from the Sheldon Funeral Home, 459 Main St., Laceyville, PA with Reverend Charles Bishop of the Transue and Elk Lake Community Churches officiating. Interment will follow at the Beaver Meadows Cemetery.
