Norman Low Obituary

NORMAN DEWAYNE LOW Norman DeWayne Low, 88, of Atchison, KS, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at the Medicalodge of Atchison, KS. There will be a private family graveside service and burial at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Atchison, KS, with Rev. Russ Cooper officiating. Memorials are the donor's choice and may be sent in the care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com. Norman was born July 4, 1936, in Atchison, KS, the son of John Samuel and Hazel (Waters) Low. He was the lead mechanic for TWA for thirty-one years retiring in 1996. Norman was a member of the First Baptist Church and enjoyed his family, woodworking, travel, and coffee club. Norman married Marta Jacqueline "Jackie" (Marchand) Low on August 13, 1966; she survives in the home. Survivors include a son, Mark C. August, Atchison, KS, two daughters, Marta Jean Buckner, Camdenton, MO, Janice Melinda Turner, Kansas City, MO, one brother, Neal Low, CA sister, Donna Osborn, Faucett, MO, four grandchildren, Nina, Nathan, Neal, Mark, three great-grandchildren, Jude, Teddy, Magnolia, sister in laws Cheril (Dan) McKay, Shirley (Jim) Jones and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded by his parents, three brothers, Robert D. (RD), John Stanley, and David Bruce Low, and one great-grandson, Nicholas Goodpasture.
