Richard E. "Ricky" Sanchez, age 49, of Albuquerque, NM, passed away unexpectedly on February 8, 2025. A loving husband and father, Ricky was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him. His kindness, sweet spirit, and unwavering love for his family defined his character. He leaves behind and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Jennifer Sanchez; his daughter, Autumn Sanchez, and her wife, Alexandra Moya.
Ricky's dedication to his family was evident in all that he did, and he was a constant source of support and love. He was a beacon of positivity, even in the face of hardship known for his perseverance, and the positive impact he had on his community. He leaves a legacy of love and resilience. Ricky is also survived by numerous cherished friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and all the dogs, cats, and birds.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Sagebrush Church Riverside location, 6440 Coors Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120.
Memorial contributions may be made to https://www.gofundme.com/f/assist-jennifer-and-autumn-in-rickys-memorial. Any contributions of flowers must be delivered to Sagebrush Church Riverside the day of the memorial, March 7, 2025.
