Patience Blums Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nitardy Funeral Homes - Whitewater on Oct. 31, 2024.
Patience Celeste Blums passed peacefully and gained her angel wings while at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, October 27, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with brain cancer. Patience fought through a misdiagnosis for years and then went through 2 brain surgeries, 2 rounds of radiation, and ended taking chemo. She was an absolute fighter.
Patience was born on March 8, 1999 at Fort Atkinson Hospital. She attended Fort Atkinson High School and graduated with the Class of 2017. She was an amazing artist and was a member of the choir. She earned 2 scholarships to college, however she was unable to continue school for Graphic Design beyond a couple months as her cancer started to affect her.
Patience was an avid reader. Music was a great comfort to her in life. One of her favorites being Avril Lavigne. She had a great love of animals, especially her bird Ramen, her cat Ivory, and other family pets. She had a funny sense of humor that will be missed greatly. She had a love for Alice Madness, aliens, all things cute, and her family. She had the most caring and loving nature and even in the end was more worried about the rest of us. Her love was unwavering and fierce for her "very cool kids" siblings.
Patience was blessed with a large, blended family. She is survived by her mother Kelly Vance and her 3 dads: father Mark Blums, stepdads Ryan Anderson and Nathan Jahns (Erin Antony). Her siblings Sparrow, Eliah, August, Rhea, Arianna, and Hunter. She is further survived by her grandfather Roger Vance, grandmother Pamela Kingsley, aunts, Heather Bradford, Connie Hilton, and Diane Vance; Uncles, Jason Vance (Brooke Welter) and Isaiah (Kate) Vance and many cousins. She was preceded in death by grandmothers; Mary Vance and Shelly Vance, uncle; Luke Vance, her beloved cat Regit and many other pets over the years.
She had a gaming and online community that supported her in so many ways. Thank you to you all. Our family would also like to thank the staff at UW Hospital especially her surgeon Dr. Baskaya and her Oncology team who gave her over 2,400 more days with us. Thanks to the staff at Fort Memorial Hospital for your care. A special thank you to Laura her home aid from TLC. And to Commonheart Hospice for the care given to Patience in the last couple months. Thank you to Nitardy Funeral Home for assisting with cremation services.
