Patty Akers, a loving and caring individual deeply devoted to her family, passed away on March 23, 2025. She was born on December 31, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri, and spent her life nurturing strong family bonds that left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
On January 5, 1984, Patty was united in marriage to Edward Akers, and together, they created a beautiful family that brought joy to her heart. Patty’s greatest pride came from being a mother and grandmother. She cherished her role and embraced each moment spent with her children and grandchildren.
Patty is survived by her devoted husband, Edward Akers, and their daughters, Rebecca Kirkhart and her husband John from Desloge, MO, April Wade and her husband Will from Leadwood, MO, and Candice Winick alongside Rodney Jarvis from Cadet, MO. She also leaves behind her son, Joseph Everhart, of Saint Clair, MO.
Her legacy is further enriched by her siblings: Carl Everhart of St. Clair, MO, Steve Everhart of Robertsville, MO, Jamie Waldron and her husband Pat of High Ridge, MO, Vickey Copeland and her husband John of Potosi, MO, and Christine Diekmann of St. Louis, MO. Patty was also a proud grandmother to Summer, Lillyan, Ariel, Trinaty, Matthew, Whitney, Bentley, Liam, and Layne, as well as a great grandmother to Ryker and Braylon. She is remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Patty was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Carolyn Lea (Smith) Everhart and Jesse Lee Everhart, as well as her brothers, Johnny and Tommy Everhart, her sister, Jessica Everhart, and her granddaughters, Tapanga and Loralie. She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jeremy Winick.
Patty will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. Her unwavering love and dedication to her family will echo through the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
