Obituary of Patricia Lee Carlson
Patricia Lee Carlson (age 74) died peacefully on October 8, 2024 following a brief illness. Particia was born October 5, 1950 in Duluth where she lived most of her life. Pat worked various jobs except when her children were young. She was a wonderful stay-home mom who made a nice home and many happy memories. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse when her children were older and worked as a nurse for 20+ years until she retired. She loved the color blue, her children and grandchildren, John Denver and laughing.
She is proceeded in death by her Father and Mother, Wilbert and Laverne Zimpel, her sisters Berta and Barbara, and baby brother Little Willy.
She is survived by her step-mother Alice Zimpel, her children's father, Larry Anstett, her children Rick (Kathie) Anstett, Angela (Brandon) Gould, and Vicki (Mark) Oestrich, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, her sisters Karol (Ron), Bev (Karl), Liz (Mike), and her brother Roger as well as her caregiver Lori McKenzie and her friends at Faith Haven.
You will soon find out that your mom is the best friend you will ever have. She will have your back when no one else does. She will continue cheering you on after the crowd has gone silent. She will support you, defend you, and love you like no other. There is nothing on earth like your mother's love. Nothing.
She will forever be missed and loved by her family and friends. Please remember her with love and sweet memories. When you wear something blue, think of Pat.
Services will be Monday October 14, 2024, at the Cremation Society of MN at 4100 Grand Ave. Duluth 55807. Visitation starts at 11:00 with a service beginning at noon.
