Patricia Kennedy Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 7, 2024.
Sister Patricia Anne Kennedy, RSM, age 84, a member of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, died peacefully on December 2, 2024, at McAuley Convent in Merion, PA.
Our sister, Pat Kennedy, journeyed as a Sister of Mercy for 64 years, sharing her many talents and abilities with humility and generosity. God led her across many roads in her lifetime, and she traveled them all with deep faith, hope, and love. Pat was named Sister Charles Marie on her profession day and chose "Jesus, I put my trust in Thee" as her lifelong motto.
Pat began her ministerial journey as an educator, teaching elementary school children in various states. She followed the road to the healthcare ministry as a Physical Therapist at Misericordia Hospital and McAuley Convent for many years. She found her greatest happiness in helping others, and her healing touch blessed many who were adjusting to a new knee or hip. Pat's tenderness and sensitivity inspired the confidence they needed to complete their therapy and realize success. Humility, gratitude, and service are the hallmarks of Pat's legacy to all who knew and loved her. We rejoice with Pat in her final journey
