It is with deep sorrow that the Latimer family announces the death of Mrs. Patricia Beasley Latimer, 75.

Mrs. Latimer entered into rest on August 30, 2024. The Directors of Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home are caring for the family.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 10 o'clock on Monday, September 2, 2024, in Bishopville Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Chris Parnell will officiate with burial to follow in the church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Bishopville Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 66, Bishopville, SC 29010, or the Laura Latimer Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Lee Academy, 630 Cousar Street, Bishopville, SC 29010

Mrs. Latimer was born in Hartsville, SC, on June 25, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Carolyn Dority Beasley and Elton D. Beasley Jr.

Tricia graduated from Bishopville High School, class of 1969. She attended Business School in Charleston, SC. She started working in the banking industry and then was a full-time wife and mother for many years. She opened a dress shop, Tricia's Trends, on Main St. in Bishopville and owned and operated Green Chase Nursery on family property on Lee State Park Road. Her true passions were renovating and redecorating the family home and serving in multiple positions at the Bishopville Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Yarborough Latimer; children, Susan Latimer Hilditch (Chris) and Ashley Latimer Broughton (David); grandchildren, Aidan John Christopher Hilditch, MaryGrace Elizabeth Hilditch, Brian Marc Broughton, and Georgia Yarborough Broughton; her siblings, Jimmy Beasley (Ann), Jerry Beasley (Flora), Linda Rolandi (Walter), Ken Beasley (Tina); sisters-in-law Kathryn Welch, Lian Latimer, Beth Latimer, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and a special caregiver Tessa Simon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Bobby Latimer and Hank Welch.
