Patricia (Pat) Marie Prince (nee Guffey), 84, of Dagsboro, DE, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2024 with her family by her side.
Pat was born in Washington, DC on April 5, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Edith M. Wells and Ernest C. Guffey. Pat worked at the Indian River Senior Center until she retired.
Pat loved family. She loved all genre of music and loved to dance. She enjoyed anything if it was with family. She was so kind to everyone she ever met. She always put others needs before her own. She had a witty sense of humor. Pat was loved for being a wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Dave Prince; grandson Buddy Wines; nephew Michael Guffey.
Pat is survived by her daughter Patty Franklin (Philip); sons John Teat (Daksha), Rich Teat (Julie); sisters Nancy Sullivan, Sharon VonGarlem; brother Thomas VonGarlem (Catherine); grandchildren Curt Neuf, Aubrey Neuf, John Teat Jr., Jason Teat, Olivia Teat, Jonas Teat; great grandchildren Ashley Wines, Emily, Savannah, Hunter, and Natalie Wines; four great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; all who she cherished.
A visitation will be held from 2PM to 4PM and from 6PM to 8PM on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646 where Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 12Noon. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
If desired, memorial contributions in Pat's memory may be made to the COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd, Miami, Florida 33134 (1-866-731-COPD (2673).
