Pattie S. Johnson, 71, of Peru, passed away at 4:41 A.M., Monday, September 2, 2024 at Dukes Memorial Hospital. She was born in Peru on April 26, 1953, the daughter of Jessie Thomas and Molly "Myamma" (Rogers) Gambrell. She married William Kelly Johnson on March 15, 1994 and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2023. Pattie was a 1971 graduate of Peru High School. Patties time with her family was precious. When she spoke about her family her face would light up with joy. One thing for certain, the love for her family poured out when they were around. She loved giving them "sugar" in her words and they never left without knowing she loved them so very much. Pattie was one of the most loving and caring persons you'd ever meet. To know her was to love her. She is survived by her children Jeff Johnson and his wife Christina of Peru, Kevin Johnson and his wife Aimee of Kokomo and Josh Johnson of Peru; grandchildren Curtis, Thomas, Makenna, Kamren, Taylor, Izaac, Jayvier and Olivia and a great-grandchild Sawyer; a sister Pam Graber and her husband Elmer of Peru; a brother Gary Gambrell and his wife Sue of Peru; nieces and nephews, Jacqueline (Chris) Scott, Christy Windlow and David (Dianna) Graber and several great nieces and nephews. A service celebrating the life of Pattie S. Johnson will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 7, 2024 at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home, 84 W. Main St., Peru, with Pastor Rose Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will gather from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M., Saturday at the Eikenberry-Eddy Funeral Home. Our family wants to give a very special thank you to Aperion Care of Peru and Dukes Memorial Hospital for the care and compassion given to Pattie for the last several years.
