Paul B. Gillespie passed away on September 19, 2025, in Mansfield, Texas, after a long and courageous battle with numerous health challenges over the past two decades. He is now pain-free and at rest with his Savior.

A proud United States Marine, Paul served honorably as a tank crewman during the Vietnam War. His service and sacrifice were a defining part of his life, and he carried the spirit of the Corps with him always.

Paul had a deep love for woodworking and found joy in spending time outdoors, tending to his lawn and garden. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys—especially when they were winning—and enjoyed cheering them on during good seasons.

He was preceded in death by his father, SSgt. Joe Gillespie, who was killed in action in Vietnam on September 11, 1967, and his mother, Bernice Young.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Leticia Ann Gillespie; his sons, Aaron Michael Gillespie and wife, Mallory, and Adam Matthew Gillespie and wife, Megan; and his beloved dogs, Lucy and Chloe. He was a proud grandfather to Annabella, Anthony, Mia, Micaela, Connor, and Joseph.

He is also survived by his brother, Ray Gillespie; his sisters, JoAnne Ortega and husband, Roy, and Stephanie Gillespie; and a host of extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Paul’s life was marked by quiet strength, love for his family, and loyalty to his country. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
