Paul Francis Sheets, 94 Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025 at the Bickford. He was a Korean Conflict Veteran serving in the US Army. He was a retired machine tender of Fairfield Paper.
Paul was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and a former Deacon of the church. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, traveling and was a member of the Baltimore VFW Post 3761.
He is survived by his daughter, Paula (Tim) Smith; grandsons, Andy (Ashley McDowell) Smith and Alex (Haley) Smith; step-children, Georgina (Rick) Ruth, David (Ava) Schmelzer, Kevin (Teresa) Schmelzer, Cort (Melissa) Schmelzer, Brianna Flint, Darlene (Michael) Yenrick and Loren (Pam) Schmelzer; step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren, brother, Jerry (Jeannette) Sheets; many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Elizabeth Shull.
Paul was preceded in death by his wives, Harriet Louise and Betty Lou Sheets, parents, Jesse and Bessie Sheets, brothers, Robert Sheets and Carl Sheets, sisters, Betty Pierce and Freida Knowlton, step-children, Thomas Schmelzer and Leslie Schmelzer.
Funeral service will be held Friday, January 31, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. MAIN ST., BALTIMORE, OHIO 43105. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Baltimore, Ohio with the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 conducting military rites at the cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
