Paul Tuma Obituary

Paul J. Tuma, age 75, town of Gibson resident, died unexpectedly late Saturday night, October 19, 2024 at his residence.
Paul was born in Two Rivers on May 19, 1949 to Doolan and Clara (Schwoerer) Tuma and has been a lifelong area resident. He graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1968, then served his country as a member of the U.S. Army (1971-1973). Over the years Paul worked on the family farm, various local cheese factories, and was very proud of working as a school bus driver for the Mishicot Area School District for 48 years. Paul married Joy Springstube on September 1, 1989 in Manitowoc.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR, camping, and most recently enjoyed four-wheeling. He especially loved having his entire family home for the holidays. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Joy Tuma; their five children: Jamie (Joyce) Springstube, Keith Springstube, Kelly (Zach) Protsmann, Bruce (Meghan) Tuma, and Traci (Zac) Tuma-Venchus; six grandchildren: Greyson, Lily, Gavin, Henry, Willa, and Tristan; two brothers & sisters-in-law: Gregory (Bobbi) Tuma, Peter (Nancy) Tuma; and two sisters: JoAnn Fenlon and Janice Bredemann; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doolan and Clara Tuma; four brothers: Jim (LaVerne) Tuma, Richard (Janet) Tuma, Donald Tuma, and Wayne Tuma; two brothers-in-law: Gale Fenlon and Del Bredemann; and his mother-in-law & father-in-law, Betty and Walter Springstube.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State Street in Mishicot, Thursday morning, October 24th from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by burial in the Mishicot Public Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be accorded by members of the VFW Post #7753 of Mishicot.
