Pedro entered into eternal rest Wednesday afternoon, December 18, 2024, at his home in Chelsea, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family. He was 93 years of age. Born in Juncos, Puerto Rico, he is the son of the late Pedro Hernandez and Lucia Rodriguez. Pedro was a retired machine operator from Sintered Metals, formerly in Jamaica Plain. Pedro's passion was watching the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed listening to music, taking walks with his wife and accompanying her to the mall; he loved food, and he enjoyed cooking and experimenting with new recipes and flavors. He will be forever cherished by all who loved him.
Pedro is the beloved husband of Melani (Rosado) Rodriguez of Chelsea. Devoted father of Judy Rivera and her husband Porfirio of CT, Gladys Hernandez and her husband Edward Burgos of Chelsea, Daisy Santos of Lynn and her significant other Ray Dancy of Salem. Pedro was lovingly survived by 5 grandchildren, Anthony Burgos and his wife Bethany of OH, Adriana Burgos of Chelsea, Porfirio Rivera, Wanda Rivera, and Sandro Rivera, all of CT.
