Peggy Goodman Williams Obituary

Peggy Jean Goodman Williams, age 86 of Huntland, passed away on December 22, 2024, at her residence. She was born in Huntland, Tennessee on March 11, 1938, to the late Homer Dale Goodman and Ruby Mae Colbert Goodman. Peggy was the deli manager for Bilo Foods for many years. She enjoyed gardening, reading, bird watching, and did whatever her family needed her to do, especially for her grandchildren. Her family will always remember her as a beautiful woman, inside and out. In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, Humes Alvie Williams; sons, Larry Dale Williams, Marvin Humes Williams; and brothers, Louis Goodman, Kenneth Goodman, and Miles Smith. Peggy is survived by her son, Dewayne Williams; grandchildren, Troy Williams, Russell (Rachel) Williams, Rashelle (Andy) Bruner, Kristy (Brian) Roagers, Vallon Green, Logan (Kayla) Williams; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, from 10am-2pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2pm on December 27, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Brother Mike Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Moore Memorial.
