Peter Joseph Laurino
Born October 3, 1939, Passed away on October 12, 2024
Beloved father Peter Joseph Laurino crossed over the rainbow bridge into eternal life in heaven on October 12, 2024 at the Villa Marie Claire Hospice facility in Saddle River N.J. He was the husband to Patricia Laurino who passed on before him on January 16, 2017.
Peter was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He worked in the transportation, trucking, and warehousing industry spanning over numerous companies for various raw material, home products and cosmetics companies throughout his long career. When He wasn't able to work in that industry anymore due to a back injury he worked as a roadside safety and traffic control foreman and crew chief. His last job was working as an aide on a bus for special needs children. His working career lasted 65 years.
Peter was the type of person who was like Rodney Dangerfield and Chevy Chase spliced together. He would talk to anyone and make friends everywhere he went. He always had a funny story to share with you and always had a smile on his face. Aside from family and socializing at work, his biggest passion was music. He played drums starting at the age of 5 years old. His entire life he played in bands and he had a chance when he was 19 to go professional with it and follow music as a fulltime career. Even though he had an incredible talent for the arts he knew that being on the road and traveling for his music career would make it hard to get married and raise a family someday. So, to satisfy both of his passions he decided to play music on a smaller scale part time so he could fulfill his true passion of being a husband and father. Anytime you put a set of drum sticks and drums in front of him he beamed like a cheshire cat and the crowd roared listening to him and the bands play.
He is survived by his son Joseph Laurino, daughter Dorene Laurino Henebry, two grandsons Jared and Liam Henebry, and son in-law Robert Henebry along with a whole bunch of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him immensely. We will always cherish him, my mother and there memory forever.
Love you, Dad! You are and always will be my first best friend. Give Mom and the gang a big hug from all of us, and have a big party up there. Til we all meet again.
