Philip Henry Crawford, 83, of Dowagiac, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.
The family will celebrate Phil's life with a memorial service held at 11am, Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Glenwood Seventh-day Adventist Church, 51089 Glenwood Rd., Dowagiac, Pastor Harry Rogers officiating. Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions may be given to the Glenwood SDA church.
Phil was born March 16, 1941 in Lawton, MI to William and Myrtle (Bakeman) Crawford. On May 20, 1962 he married Jennie Mullard at Glenwood SDA in Dowagiac. They lived and farmed the land with their family, a tradition passed down through the generations since 1868. Phil loved to farm, but not as much as he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially on vacation. He was a lifelong member of the Glenwood SDA church community and served the community with a grateful heart. He will be remembered as a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather (aka Pop) and humble servant of the Lord.
Phil will be missed by his wife of 62 years, Jennie (Mullard) Crawford; his children, Sallie (Steven) Baerg, Susan (Erik) Oosterwal, Sandra (Scott) Yore, and William (Katrina) Crawford; his grandchildren, Bruce (Carlie) Baerg, Missie (Randy) Hoenes, Mindie (Jim) Kazlauskas, Erik-Philip (Kayla) Oosterwal, Matthew (Kate) Oosterwal, Scott Yore, Jr., Sean Yore, and William Crawford; his great grandchildren, Gus, Maverick, Colton, Easton, Josie, Jessie, Bailey, Gideon, and Sophia Grace.
He is preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Maggie Sue; his siblings, Carol Nieman, and Gene Crawford; and his parents.
