Phyllis Albrink Obituary

Phyllis Marie Albrink, aged 78, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 25, 2024, at the Bluebird Retirement Community in London, Ohio. Born on November 11, 1945, Phyllis was a cherished member of her community and a loving wife, step-mother, and grandmother.
Phyllis graduated from Dublin High School in 1963 and furthered her education at Ohio State University, followed by completing banking courses with the American Institute of Banking.
Her career began in 1965 at Ohio National Bank, where she rose to the position of assistant manager at the Grandview office by 1973. It was here that she met her future husband, Karl Albrink, and they married in 1974.
Beyond her professional life, Phyllis embraced a variety of hobbies that enriched her life and those around her. She had a passion for traveling, riding motorcycles, and camping. During her time living out west, she and Karl enjoyed square dancing, playing pool, and exploring numerous national and state parks. They often met with family for adventures across the United States.
Phyllis also loved spending time with her dogs, teaching them new tricks and enjoying their company.
Phyllis is survived by her family members: Kathy Albrink (step-daughter), Steve (step-son) and Barbara Albrink, son-in-law Bill Shropshire, along with Amy Shropshire, Elise Shropshire, Angela Romero, Jorge Romero, Eli Albrink, and Adam and Ava Romero. She was preceded in death by her husband Karl Albrink, step-daughter Connie Shropshire, and her parents Paul and Dorothy Smith of Dublin, Ohio.
There will be a private, graveside ceremony at a later date to honor the life and legacy of Phyllis Marie Albrink. Her warmth and spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
