Graveside services for Mrs. Phyllis Bice, 74, of Turnertown will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 22, 2024, at Lakewood Memorial Park with Jason Taylor officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home in Henderson.
Mrs. Bice passed from this life on November 19, 2024, at her residence. She was born October 11, 1950, in Houston to the late Rex B. Jr and Helen (Wilson) Tullis and went on to graduate from Willis High School. Mrs. Bice moved to Rusk County in 1972 and later had a career as a document control specialist with McDermott, formerly C.B. & I., from which she retired. Phyllis was truly an outdoorsman from her love of hunting and fishing to bird and animal watching as well as gardening. She just enjoyed being outdoors. She was, above all, a devoted wife and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Bice also attended Bar None Cowboy Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Jimmy Bice, grandson Mike Randall, great-grandson Ryder, brother and sister Eddie Tullis and Leeta Tullis Kinsler, and sons-in-law David Tippitt and Mark Henshaw.
Survivors include her children, Wendy Tippitt of Carlisle, Melissa Frizzell, Jimmy Bice Jr, and Christy Henshaw, all of Turnertown; brother, Richard Tullis and wife Benita of Fisherville, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Bice Jr, Doug Randall, Austin Frizzell, Rex Henshaw, Cole Thayer, Mason Germany-Fourton, Michail Cartwright, Bailey Bradley, Sean Thomas, David Hinojosa, David Kinsler, Travis White, and Nick Beall.
