Polly Price Houser, 98, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2025. She loved the great game of golf because it involved being out in God's great creation. A 50 year member of Red Bank United Methodist Church, she enjoyed singing in the church choir. Being a shy person, she felt that she could express her thoughts and feelings through song. Wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and caregiver to all her loving family was truly a joy and great adventure. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren most of all. Through her travels, her favorite places were Largo and St. Petersburg, Florida; Maui, Hawaii (a little bit of heaven); London, England and Edinburg, Scotland and Paris was like going back in time.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredric Denis Houser Sr.; grandparents, Samuel and Margaret Brewer West and W. Franklin and Lucinda Lee Price; parents, Carl Leon and Lillie West Price; sister, Mary Aileen Ware; brother, Carl Leon Price Jr.; brothers-in-law, David R. Nelson and William B. Nelson.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon H. Livers; sons, Ric Houser and David L. Houser; grandchildren: Ashlee Livers Prior, Aimee P. Livers, Denis Ian Houser and Kelsey Houser; great-granddaughters, Piper E. Prior and Zoey A. Prior.
Visitation is 1:00 – 2:00 pm Monday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace. Funeral services are 2:00 pm on Monday in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Dr. Tony Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
