Mr. Quincy Duane Jones passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at his residence. Age 42 years. Quincy was born June 19, 1977 in Saginaw, Michigan to Doris Jones and Tommy Thomas.
Quincy attended Saginaw High School and later obtained an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice from University of Phoenix. He was last employed by Michigan Brand, Inc. He had a great passion for buying and fixing up houses. In his spare time, he loved spending time with his family, fishing, bowling, and cutting hair. His dream was opening up a barbershop with his sons.
Quincy loved his family dearly and always said, "I love you" at the end of his interactions with family as he went on his way. When he came in contact with his great aunt, he loved hearing her say, "There goes my big fat dash handsome nephew" and he wanted that to be known in front of his friends as he listened smiling. He truly had a contagious smile and was quite the jokester. "Q", as he was affectionately known, was also loved by people that came across his path.
Quincy was preceded in death by his brother, Alfonso Jones; grandmother, Willie Pleasant; great-grandmother, Pearlie Brooks; and great-uncle, Samie D. Jamerson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Doris Jones; four sons, Darius Brooks, Dequarius, Quinterrion and Amir Jones, all of Saginaw, Michigan; fiancé, Shuttney Winchester; three grandchildren, London Madison, Dallas Harris, Arii Brooks; four sisters, Aalayh Rodgers, Destiny Barnes, Rosemary Buckley, Natasha Williams, all of Saginaw, Michigan; one brother, Dejuan Williams, Saginaw, Michigan; uncle, Howard Pleasant, Defiance, Ohio; great aunt, Leanda Jamerson, Saginaw, Michigan; special uncle, Rev. Michael Morris, Virginia; special niece, Karleigh Anderson; special nephews, AlTravius and Jalen Jones; many other relatives and friends, including special cousins, Robert Jamerson, Demarcus Wesby and special friends Michael King and Verlardner Price.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Karen Murphy, Ivan E. Phillips and the Staff of Paradise Funeral Chapel
