Rachel Darling Obituary
Rachel was born on August 1, 1945, to Thomas Shelby and Anna Louise Holdt Matney in Little Rock, Arkansas. She spent most of her youth and adulthood in Idaho and moved to Arco, Idaho with her husband, Steve in the early 2000's. Following Steve's passing she continued to live in Arco and made many wonderful friends.
She enjoyed spending time with her friends, shopping, picnics, walking, her animals and spoiling little children. She will be dearly missed.
Surviving is her sister, Shirley Chadwick and a brother, Larry Matney. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Anna Matney; her brothers, Ed, Richard, Russel, Joe and Gary; her sisters, Tricia Aten and Sharleen King, and her husband, Steve Darling.
Rachel's wishes were to be cremated and buried in the town that she loved. A private inurnment service will be held in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of the Anderson Family Funeral Home.
