Randall Fuller Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 5, 2024.
Randall Dean Fuller also known as PopPop, 73, passed away on September 4, 2024, in Canyon, TX. Born on March 20, 1951, in Elk City, Oklahoma, Randall was a cherished member of his community and a devout follower of his faith.

Randall graduated from Ouachita High School before attending North East Louisiana University. He served honorably in the Army Reserves, dedicating himself to the values of duty and community that he carried throughout his life.

A man of deep faith, Randall was actively involved in the First Presbyterian Church of Canyon, where his memorial services will be held. He was a loving father, brother, and grandfather, known for his passion for fishing, watching football, and especially cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. You would always hear his voice as it was typically the loudest. His greatest pride and joy were his two children from first wife, Susan, whom they raised together with his second wife of 24 years, Rose Mary Fuller.

Randall is survived by his brother, Chuck Fuller (Dawn); sister, Shelly Harrison (Ed); daughter, Rachel Miller (Keith); son, Brandon Fuller (Tyler); and grandchildren, Ian Fuller, Collin Miller, Mackenzie Fuller, and Conner Miller. He also leaves behind his nephews and nieces, Josh Fuller, Kerri Bosley, Drew Harrison, and Zach Fuller; and great-nephews and nieces, Gabe Perrien, Sophie Fuller, Max Bosley, Max Fuller, and Isla Harrison. Randall was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Sybil Fuller.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church collage scholarship fund, an initiative close to Randall's heart, supporting the educational aspirations of young members of the church community.

Randy's memorial service will be held on October 12th at 3:00pm at First Presbyterian Church in Canyon.

I asked my family to tell me what they love most about Randall. My youngest daughter said when he pushed her really high on her swing. My middle daughter said his hugs were the best. My oldest daughter said it was fun when he made his famous meatballs. I love listening to him read stories to my girls. He was a really good storyteller. We are so grateful to have known him and will miss him very much.

So sad to see this. Childhood friend, beloved "rascally" high school friend. OPHS legend! Iconic smile! More than a favorite! "We are great, we are fine, we´re the Class of `69!" Love and prayers to his family. Psalm 23:6.

Randall's love for his family, his church, and his friends, will always hold a special place in my heart. He loved reading stories to his great niece, Isla, at her school. He adored her and the other children. This was a highlight in his life. He really had a knack of being able to talk to everyone, young, old, and in between, he never met a stranger! I have no doubt he is in heaven right now, having a conversation with God. Thanks for the great memories my friend, until we meet again...

PopPop was always there at track meets, baseball games, and football games ready to give the best hugs and hello! We love you and we will miss you PopPop, but we will see you again one day.
