Reatha Williams Obituary

Reatha Joan Williams, 80, of Hixson, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025. She was an active member of Red Bank Baptist Church and the Hall Sunday School Class. After 35 years of service, she retired from Olan Mills. Joan cared for her mother along with her sisters until her mother passed away.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Irene Newsom, brother, Herman "Shorty" Newsom; her sister, Nyoka Harvey; and her son, Jamie Rotella Williams.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, John H. Williams, Jr.; sons, Tinky Williams (Terri) and Robin Gill Williams (Darlene); sisters: Wanda McCullom (Johnny), Marsha Hartman (Chuck) and Carol Smith (Danny); several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation is 12:00 – 8:00 pm Monday and 11:00 am-12:00 pm Tuesday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace. Funeral Service will be 12:00 pm Tuesday in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Dr. Fred Stillman officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
