Rebecca Ann Shaub Blackmore Brosman, lovingly known as Becky, passed away at her home on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the age of 81. She was born on March 15, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Robert E. and Betty Shaub.
A passionate Bible student for over 45 years, Becky found great joy in studying the Word of God. She had the privilege of studying under prominent teachers such as Dr. J. Vernon McGee, Kay Arthur (Precept Ministries), and Les Feldick (Through the Bible). Her love for Scripture was an essential part of her life, and she remained dedicated to her faith throughout the years.
Becky was also known for her love of organization, and she found joy in both shopping, especially through QVC, and expressing her creative side through art. Her artistic talent shone through in her cartoons and portraits, capturing the beauty of the world around her.
Becky was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Les Brosman; her children, Gary Blackmore (Sheila) of Indianapolis, Laura Mahurin (Paul) of Florida, and Tony Brosman of Spencer; Her brother Larry Shaub (Barb) of Geist, Eight grandchildren; and Thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom she cherished deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert E. and Betty Shaub, her daughter Linda Wilson, and late husband John Blackmore
Her legacy of love, faith, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew her. Becky will be dearly missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so freely gave to others
