Rebecca Ann Collins 1970 - 2025
Rebecca Ann Collins, affectionately known as Becky to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2025, at the age of 54, in her hometown of Tazewell, where she was also born on March 7, 1970. She was saved at an early age at Dry Valley Missionary Baptist Church and a member of Fairview Baptist. Becky's life was one marked by her unwavering spirit and the love she shared with those around her, even as she bravely faced breast cancer.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Collins, her mother, Joyce Ann Epperson Collins, her grandparents, Clay and Hester Epperson, Pierce and Maggie Collins, her beloved husband, Scott Yancey, and her cherished pet, Max, Becky's legacy of love and laughter lives on through her family.
She is survived by her brothers, Randall and Brad Collins; her sisters, Ronda Brummet, Regina Walker, and Samantha Collins; and her special sister-in-law Amanda Rouse She loved her nieces and nephews: Holly, Jodi, Leah, and Maddilyn Collins; Jessica Sutton; Lisa Ann, Jessica, and Heather Rouse; and Timmy Chittum, Caleb Daniels, Parker, Branson, Hunter, and Mason Collins. Her great-nieces and nephews, including her "little blueberry," Reagan.
Becky's love for animals was profound. She found joy in the company of them all, great and small, and her kindness extended to every living being she encountered. Her compassion for them was a true reflection of her beautiful soul. Those who knew Becky will remember her for her sense of humor, which was as natural to her as breathing. She had an uncanny ability to find the funny in any situation, and her laughter was a gift that she gave freely and often. Becky's loving nature was the cornerstone of her existence; she approached life with open arms and an open heart, embracing friends, family, and strangers alike with the same warmth and kindness. As we mourn the loss of Becky, we also celebrate the countless memories she leaves behind. Her laughter, her love, will continue to inspire and comfort us all. Becky's journey through life was a testament to the power of positivity, and she will be remembered always for the light she brought into the world. Until we meet again.
She will have a graveside service Friday, February 28th at 2pm at the Epperson Cemetery.
