Richard Burdeski Obituary

Richard "Dick" Burdeski, age 75 passed away on September 6, 2024. Dick was an avid lover of sports, particularly the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, and Gopher Hockey. He was a lifelong passionate player of cribbage, teaching his children to love the game. Multiple cribbage boards can be found in households across the country, thanks to Dick. He loved a good adventure to visit his kids across the country and sometimes, the world. He was always open for a fishing trip, a hike, or to head down into the basement to lift weights. Dick loved to take long trail walks with his late wife Rachel. They are walking together once again.
Dick is survived byhis son, Christopher Burdeski; stepdaughter, Gina Kapel; stepson, Ben Schmerler; grandchildren, Corey, Noah, Hayley, Jack, Sam, Neve and Una; and brother David Burdeski.
A memorial service celebrating Dick's life will be held on Friday, September 27 at 11 AM with visitation starting at 10:30 AM at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel, 1827 Coon Rapids Blvd. NW.
