Mrs. Betty Day Register was born February 25,1932 in Columbus, GA – daughter of the late John M. Day and Jessie Hobby Day. She was the seventh of eight children. Betty moved 36 times as an Army wife while raising 3 children. After they retired and moved to Lee County, AL, Betty was involved with Ruritan and projects such as getting AED equipment in police cars and other response vehicles.
