Richard I. Fontenot, 70 of Ville Platte passed away following a short illness on May 29, 2024, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Ville Platte, LA.
Mr. Fontenot was born on October 7, 1953, in Ville Platte to Irving J. Fontenot and Eva Lou Mounier Fontenot. He worked as a technician in the oil and gas industry.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Chadrick Fontenot; his mother, Eva Lou-Mounier Fontenot; grandson, Deavon Goleman; four sisters, Cheryl LaFleur, Irene Nichols ,Christine Fontenot, and Jenny Price
He was preceded in death by his father, brother, Charlie Fontenot and his daughter, April Fontenot.
The family has entrusted cremation to Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings, LA.
