Richard Edmund Foreman, 77, of Loveland, Ohio, passed away October 2, 2024. He was born January 6, 1947 in
Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Milton and Lee (nee Kestin) Foreman.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Roslyn "Ozzie" Foreman. Loving brother to Marlene (Albert) Shmalo and Arthur (B.J.) Foreman. Richard is also survived by his nephews and nieces: Jamie Shmalo, Robert Shmalo, Lauren Berg, and Elizabeth Foreman. Along with a host of friends, he will always be the cherished companion of his two surviving dogs, Lokie and Sky.
Richard's adventures took him to all 50 states, where he embraced the beauty of each corner of the country. Richard was also an active member of Wise temple where he attended for many years and eventually volunteered as an usher. He was a dedicated competitor in the dog show circuit, where he showcased his pets and won over 100 titles throughout his career. He once tried to woo his beloved wife, Ozzie, on a date to one of his dog shows. A highlight of Richard's life was a trip in 1997 when he and Ozzie attended the Cabot 500 in Newfoundland with their dog. An encounter occurred when Queen Elizabeth herself stopped to chat with Richard about his dog, a moment he cherished with great pride.
Richard poured his heart into volunteering with various organizations. He was a member of the Clermont County Kennel Club and the Queen City Dog Training Club, and served on the board of directors for the Cincinnati Shetland Sheepdog Shelties Club. His commitment to the community extended further as he volunteered for the Miami Township Police Department.
As we remember Richard, we take comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved dogs: Chaya, Kitty, Redi, Tammy, and Shay. May his spirit run free with them in the great beyond.
A graveside service for Richard will be held on Friday, October 4 at 12PM at United Jewish Cemetery - Loveland, 712 Loveland-Miamiville Rd. Miami Township, OH 45140.
