Richard Larkin Obituary

Richard Anthony Larkin, 79, of Americus, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on October 6, 2024. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 11AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Rev.Steven Wright will officiate.
Richard was born in Macon County on November 27, 1944 to the late Russell L. Larkin and Lena Lashley Larkin. He was a truck driver and farmer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working around the house and was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. He also served in the National Guard.
Richard is survived by his wife of fifty-nine years, Annette King Larkin; his son Richard Anthony Larkin, Jr. (Kelli) of Cordele, GA; his daughter Lorrie Larkin Stafford (Brad) of Dawson, GA; his grandchildren Kristen Larkin Frabotta (Nick) of Chattanooga, TN; Blake Stafford and Matt Stafford, both of Dawson, GA; his sisters Towanda Anthony of Americus, GA and Pam Davis (Josie) of Florida and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Lanelle Larkin Norris and his brother Otis Lee Larkin.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Phoebe Sumter Hospice and his private caretakers who cared so well for him in recent weeks.
Family and friends will be received at the family residence following the service.
Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of flowers or memorial contributions to Phoebe Sumter Hospice and St. Jude Children's Hospital.
